DENVER -- Broncos safety T.J. Ward appeared in court Friday on misdemeanour charges that he threw a glass mug at a bartender at a Denver strip club. Ward, 27, is charged with misdemeanour assault and disturbing the peace in the May 10 incident at PTs All Nude club. Court documents say Ward tossed the mug at the bartender at 2:40 a.m. after he was told he couldnt bring a drink into the club. Bond was set at $1,900, and a court date was set for June 23, The Denver Post reported (http://bit.ly/1kx8BoC ). Police had issued an arrest warrant for Ward on Thursday. Ward signed a four-year, $22.5 million deal with Denver this spring. He is coming off a Pro Bowl season in Cleveland. Under NFL rules, Ward could be fined for a misdemeanouroffence, but a suspension is considered unlikely. Wards agent, Josh Arnold, couldnt immediately be reached by phone for comment. Club video surveillance shows that Ward picked "up a glass mug that is sitting on the bar and tosses/throws the glass mug at her. The male then walks away," the court documents said. I think Mia Ritchie has had a number of good performances, but Im going for Joanna Vann. She is a good, consistent player, who makes the connection between attack and defence. I want the Storm to win and all my Thunder friends are going to hate me, but I do think Thunder are going to pip them to the post. Their attack is really good, Ellie Cardwell is a really strong upcoming shooter, and the shooting is pretty consistent. Generally Manchesters attack is very hard to beat.
